In October 1965 Prof. Dr.- Ing. Jörg Peter and Dipl.- Ing. Georg Lochner founded the engineering firm Peter and Lochner in Stuttgart, Germany. In 1974 both associates received recognition by the minister of the Interior as licensed engineers for certification of structural design and executions.

In May 1994 a branch was established on the island of Reichenau / Lake of Constance.

On January 1st 1998 the company changed from an association to a company with limited responsibility (GmbH).

Since then, diplom engineers Peter Bock, Dieter Lippold and Roland Wetzel, who are also recognized as licensed engineers for certification, became board members and the engineers Christoph Wentz and Martin Hertenstein have been appointed as associates with procuration.
